2009 Celebration

The information below is from 2009, we'll be adding the pages the 2010 Celebration as we pull the event together!

OTO Logo HikerHikers - hike the Loxahatchee River corridor on Sunday, February 22nd. Hike starts at 8:00 am at Riverbend, ends at Jonathan Dickinson State Park river area.

OTL Logo HorseHorseback Riders - ride one day, two or all three! Ride starts at Dupuis Friday, February 20, last day ends at J.D. State Park.

The one day ride from Jupiter Farms to J.D. State Park is approximately 24 miles. The trail has various obstacles and YOU are responsible for your mount's condition and health. See the Equestrian page for important information.

On-site registration for Sunday, February 22 starts at 7:00 am.

This is a permitted and insured event. All Participants will be issued Event ID. You MUST wear your ID at all times. Anyone not wearing ID will be removed from the ride. Click the logo to go to the Horse Rider Page


OTL Logo BikeOff-Road Cyclists - Greenway Loop Ride, Sunday, February 22ndGreenway Loop ride west of J.D. in the Cypress Creek area. Loops start and end at Eaglesview Equestrian area. Ride up to 50 miles out and back.

Check-in from 8:00 - 9:00 am, ride starts at 9:00 am


OTL Logo PaddlePaddle the wild and scenic Loxahatchee. You're on your own - but come meet us at Eaglesview when you're done.

 


OTL Logo CompassGeocaching - explorers get ready! New caches are being set throughout the Ocean To Lake Greenway. Visit the most and report your findings at our Celebration at J.D. Park on February 22nd. No registration required.


The Celebration will provide events for both amateur and experienced recreational athletes. Distance events include backpacking, horseback riding, off-road bicycling, and paddling. The distance horseback event includes opportunities for camping, and because of the "one-way" nature of the Greenway, shuttle transportation will be arranged back to the trailheads on a daily basis.

Special daily activities will also happen on Sunday, February 22nd - which will include interpretive nature hikes, birding adventures, and bike tours.
